People buy iPhones all around the planet without realizing that the American AT&T is the only hauler for the phone. You can use your new iPhone with a different hauler - but first you will need to use a tool or software which will allow you to change the carrier. Do not fall for some 20$ or 50$ fake unlocking devices; spammy and not working software. These are the tools that actually damage your new gadget. Only couple of weeks ago many worldwide users were very excited to find out about the release of controversial tool. An important thing to note; both iPhone firmware versions - the 1.0.2 and the new 1.1.1 are breakable with iPhone Free Unlock. So, here's probably the most important trick. Once you have the iPhone box in hand, turn it over and look for a bar code named 'Serial No.'. A typical serial would look like 7U738L46WH5. Take a close look at the serial. Somewhere in the middle there is the letter 'L'. Here is the important point. If the phone in your hand has 8 or a lower digit preceding that L, then you are fine. The firmware on your phone is 1.0.2 or less. If however, the digit preceding the L is 9, then you have the newer firmware. Using the above technique, once you are sure you purchased an iPhone with the older firmware, you can now go ahead and unlock your iPhone using the unlocking software. At the present time, iPhone cannot be unlocked by using a remote unlock code. You would need an unlocking software to unlock your iPhone. Below we provide you with the steps that you will need to take in order for you to unlock your iPhone easily. Step 1 - You need to find a good quality software program which can assist you with unlocking your Apple iPhone. However avoid those which are either free or seem to be extremely cheap and in some cases will end up leaving with you a phone that no longer functions. It is best to search for a pre built software package especially if you have no technical knowledge with regards to unlocking phones. Step 2 - Before purchasing the software make sure that the one you will be installing onto your iPhone can easily be updated in the future. So look for those that offer firmware which when future versions become available will not leave you with a phone that is inoperable. Step 3 - Avoid any messages that you get sent to your iPhone which offer you the chance to download software that looks reputable but is in fact not. In many cases you will end up either downloading a virus which leaves you with a phone that is not functioning or with some kind of "spyware" that allows them to then look at your phone usage. |
